light or heavy?

So I have been trying out a lightened main gear and a stock weight main gear. I found with the lightened main gear that i had a dead spot from 30-47mph till i hit the power band. After i put the stock weight main gear  on i found that I had better performance all around. even had a bit better take off. the only test i did with the stock weight flywheel was one yesterday where i had the flywheel keep slipping and today where i forgot to turn my pet cock on and ran outta gas a mile away from home and had to push it to the house. But on the way i stopped to talk to a nice older couple about my moped. The older guy owns a corvette and ever like 5 years from the 80's he traded his vette in for the newer model one.

70cc's again yay

So I rebuild my maxi's 70cc motor. I did gas porting on the piston other then that its all the piston and cylinder has not been touched. Im waiting on my riffler files to get here something this week to port it. The timing is at 1.8mm. I am running 50:1 with pennzoil marine premium plus.and a 50cc high comp head. I have 18/40 gearing, vm 20 carb, simo pipe. tuned and lightened 2 shoe clutch. videos of what it looks like and what i have done any questions please feel free to ask. By what i know is that im one of the first to do the gas porting on a dyke ring set up. I just wanted to see if it would work and how good. If it works ill think about getting a new piston for it and rock the shit outta her.

simo performance pipe's

So just a little update with out any pic's. so i paid 180 for a simo racing pipe from treats. I like it aot its a really good bike with a killer power band, but there is one thing not many people know about these bikes. They have a restictor in the header right before the chamber. Alot of people do not believe this and even treats say's there is non but with a little work and putting tubingdown the header till it stoped at the same spot and would not go father unless i moved it so it when in the restrictor.

OH noes

Ran into a problem today. Well yesterday it started but i didnt think anything of it till now. While at w0t my bike dies like it lost spark. Then when i go to like half throttle it kicks back in. I tock the petcock off and found out the filter thats on the pet cock was all tore up and nasty and fell off.. so i cleaned off the petcock. still having the problem.  =/ so its time to find out whats wrong with it.

Update of the maxi.

Ok so I am taking the clutches to get lined with leather for free just to see if it can be done and how well it will hold up. I am also waiting on a email about a tiny tech i bought for the bike. I am also waiting on getting wheels for the bike to. I also added a front fairing to the bike and a side stand. When i get the clutch done ill try and find a tired to put on her and see how she does. Im going to be testing out porting on another cylinder i have at the house to see how well it does. Ill be doing a pic of each step om the porting i am doing on the other cylinder. Im trying to build a powerful motor out of this korado cylinder.

So here is the start of the lightening of my main gear. still have a little more to take off but right there i have it cut at the same lenght so i will be good. I am going with a ktm/garelli clutch with a mineralli bell.

The Dream!.!

Ok so if you have not seen yet my dream right now is this blue moped in my first blog. Well the dream with that bike is to do 60+mph on 50cc's The only problem im running into is i cant get the bike geared high enuff to hit the real topend it wants to due because of the lowend will be so shitty. So with this problem i started to think of ways i could get the bike to have better lowend with still having killer topend. The anwser is ktm clutch mod. I can getting killer low end with that clutch and stull be able to jump the rear sproket up to a 35t and be able to get a higher rpm out of it. well with wanting to get higher rpms out of my motor thay means there is another thing that i can do to get higher rpms. Thats right its time to raise the ports on this bad boy to. So after finding out my problem with the clutch i ran into another problem lack of money. I have no way of making up the money really to buy the parts. I found out about google adsense so thats why you see google ads on my blog to help raise some moped founds. When ever i get the founds to finally do the clutch mod ill make sure to take pics of the clutch step by step. Also when im raising the ports ill make sure to take more pics of me doing that.

The beginning

So here is the start of the project that is going to take some time to do and alot of custom work and hard time to do. Its going to be a fast bike. Its going to get the 125cc kit on it a tm28 carb. 6 speed trans steep gearing. Also thinking about using the mb5 forks and rims. its getting clip on bars and a custom build tank as you can see. this is just a rough drawing of what its going to look like when its done.

blown tire =/

So I have been having this problem. My maxi keeps blowing side walls out of the tires =/ it fucking blows and i am out of money now and cant buy new tires right now. But man i was blasting today and going pretty good at that and next thing i know i blow the side wall out and the bike started swaying side to side really really fast and almost lost control of the moped. The funny part was i had just passed a motorcycle before this happened.

The Maxi.

Ok this is my first blog post so bear with me.

Lately i have been working on my Puch Maxi trying to see what i can do with it to make it do 50mph or faster on 50cc. The way it looks is that with the stock points on it i cant really rev out the way i want the bike to. I am hitting about high 40's even 50mph and thats with out the timing where it should be and the jetting just right. I am jetted a bit to rich. My timing i also think is what is holding me back. I have the timing to retarded and its not able to get me up to the rpm's that i want. (or so i think thats the problem) I seen this cool rotor cdi that i want to get thats cheap but will need some work getting it to work on my bike. My dream for this bike is to have a powerdynamo. If i can i want to try and get 60mph out of this motor but not to run it at the speed the whole time Because lets face it the stock forks on a maxi blow more then a crack addicted whore. Well when i finally get the money to buy the cdi stuff that i want to get ill have another blog on how i got it to work and if it really helped with the power or not and if its worth getting as a cheap but good cdi kit.
